Project Manager

The Project Manager applies professional principles, practices, and techniques to lead small to large scale project teams and to manage project schedule, cost, scope, risks and quality to meet project objectives. This role has ultimate responsibility and accountability for all assigned projects and manages all aspects of the project life cycle: Initiation, Quoting and Scoping, SOW, Planning, Execution, Reporting, Monitoring and Closure.

 

Position Accountabilities

  • Manage the deliverables of the project team, ensuring that milestones and project objectives are achieved on time, on budget and within scope; and that project roadblocks are removed
  • Build commitment, overcome resistance, facilitate team productivity and motivate members to move forward toward successful completion
  • Ensure the project team members are employing the organization’s project management methodology, technology and best practice principles of collaboration, accountability and transparency
  • Establish clear ownership for project tasks, ensure that team members have the tools needed, and provide timely feedback
  • Work collaboratively with subject matter teams and support staff to maintain thorough knowledge of product capabilities

 

Specific Duties

  • Translate business objectives into high level requirements in order to attain detailed quotes from SMEs
  • Complete detailed quotes and profit analysis for proposals, with assistance from SMEs
  • Identify conflicts and opportunities in the client proposal stage
  • Navigate the matrix between SMEs, PMO, Account Service and Finance and financial software systems in order to input data accurately for project quoting, creation, management and analysis
  • Work with the Account Team to ensure that client expectations align with realistic technical capabilities and capacity
  • Work with the Account Team to ensure that the brief is complete, comprehensive and clearly represents clients’ needs
  • Collaborate with account, group resources and operations teams to develop workable project plans including; scope, timeline, cost, resources, risk, communications and quality
  • Provide technical insight to the Account Team
  • Manage competing demands and prioritize work objectively and aligned with organizational objectives
  • Coordinate and manage the project: delegate work assignments and set expectations, monitor and manage delegated activities; communicate changes, track and communicate progress
  • Assess project issues and identify solutions to meet productivity, quality and client goals; escalate issues as required

Experience and Skills

  • The successful candidate will demonstrate experience quoting and managing project scopes for a number of digital lines of service: SEM, SEO, strategy, display, marketing science, web design, content at scale, presence management and other performance marketing areas
  • Proven experience in providing project estimates (quoting project effort) and financial analysis encompassing cross departmental stakeholders
  • Three (3) years of Project Management experience or equivalent
  • Proven experience in managing small to large scale projects (i.e. 8 – 15 team members) encompassing cross departmental stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with project management software solutions
  • Experience working within established project management methodologies
  • Ability to facilitate and run meetings effectively
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
